Why AFC is different
Inside a session
Every AFC session runs on a plan: purposeful warm-ups, real skill progressions, and game-based reps that build transferable athleticism. This is what a real session looks like.

Seasonal
Our seasonal camps keep athletes moving between programs: Goalkeeper Select, Field Player Select, and Summer Performance.
Questions, answered
Foundations serves young athletes from age 2.5 through 12 in age-grouped classes. Older athletes train through Performance, which welcomes club athletes who want extra reps as well as older or newer recreational athletes. Committed, college-track athletes are served through Elite. Not sure where your athlete fits? Answer a few quick questions on our Contact page and we will point you the right way.
Foundations (ages 2.5 to 12) is the welcoming first step: open-enrollment, age-grouped classes that run in blocks across soccer, basketball, and multi-sport. Performance is also open enrollment: flexible single sessions and packs that fit around your athlete's schedule, with no long-term commitment. Elite is the destination: selective, membership-first development with private 1-on-1 and small-group training, entered through the Assessment Pathway. We also run seasonal Summer Camps between programs.
Each program keeps it simple. Foundations blocks start at $80. Performance classes are $40 drop-in, or $35 a session in an 8-pack. Elite begins with the $199 Assessment Pathway, and membership details are covered during your athlete's evaluation. Summer Camps are priced per camp on the Summer Camps page.
We train across south Orange County. Foundations classes are held at Lake Forest Sports Park, Regency Park, and Curtis Park in Mission Viejo. Your exact location depends on the program and day, and we confirm it when you enroll.
Foundations classes run on weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings, organized by sport and age group. Performance and Elite are scheduled more flexibly. We confirm exact days and times for your athlete's program when you get started.
Foundations and Performance are open enrollment, so you can book directly: pick the program, then choose the day that fits. Elite starts with a short application. If you are not sure where your athlete belongs, answer a few quick questions on our Contact page and we will point you the right way, or call or text (949) 600-3097.
Your athlete is welcomed in, grouped with peers at their level, and guided through age-appropriate training from the first day. Even a first class follows a clear plan rather than free play. Come ready to move: athletic clothing, cleats or sneakers for the surface, and a water bottle are a good baseline.
Yes. Our founder, Andre Flores, is a former NCAA goalkeeper and master technical coach, and goalkeeping is a core strength of the academy. Goalkeepers develop year-round through Performance and Elite, and our seasonal Goalkeeper Select camp is built around small groups of keepers.
Camps are seasonal: they run between our year-round programs, not in place of them. For Summer 2026 we run three. Goalkeeper Select is a 6-week goalkeeper program. Field Player Select is built on technical mastery and speed of play, with 6-week, 4-week, and weekly options. Summer Performance offers flexible packages for athletes who want to keep training through the summer. Spots are limited, so early registration is encouraged.
Elite is membership-first and selective, and the path in is transparent. Step one: apply with a few quick questions. Step two: book the $199 Assessment Pathway, a focused training block where your athlete trains with us. Step three: we deliver a written Athlete Development Report and an honest decision: Accepted, Waitlist, or Not Yet Fit. Step four: if accepted, your athlete continues into an Elite membership.
Anyone can start with the Assessment. Not everyone continues to membership, and that is the point: we earn that decision together over the sessions. Not Yet Fit is placement, not rejection. It comes with a written report and a clear next step, usually Performance, so no family walks away with nothing.
AFC was built by founder Andre Flores, a former NCAA goalkeeper and master technical coach, alongside co-owner Mike Monary, who leads our youth fundamentals. Our staff brings 23-plus years of combined coaching experience. To date we have trained 550-plus athletes, and 100-plus have gone on to play in college. We pair that experience with small groups and clear standards, so your athlete is genuinely coached, not just supervised.
Three programs, one standard. Find where your athlete belongs and take the first step. No pressure, just a clear next step.
